Those looking forward to the release of Acquire’s PS4 and Vita action JRPG title Akiba’s Beat may have to wait a little longer. [Thanks, DualShockers.]

During a panel at Tokyo Game Show 2016, Acquire revealed that the Japanese release has been delayed, and it seems the Western release has been as well. Instead of releasing this fall in Japan, it has been delayed until winter, while the Western release has been pushed back to Q1 of 2017. No exact release date has been set for either region, and Xseed has yet to officially confirm the Western delay.

New gameplay from Akiba’s Beat was also shown during the Tokyo Otaku Mode panel, which can be watched over on its official Twitch channel. Two dungeons were featured, including a boss fight that gave a demonstration of the game’s “Imagine Gauge” which, when full, allows characters to perform devastating attacks.

Akiba’s Beat will release for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita this winter in Japan and sometime in Q1 2017 for the west.
