New Animated Series Pokémon Generations Begins September 16

The Pokémon Company has announced a brand new animated series called Pokémon Generations. The 18-episode series is set to debut on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. PT (12:00 p.m. ET) on the Pokémon YouTube channel. Each episode runs about three to five minutes long, and new episodes are planned to release weekly through December 23, 2016. A preview of the animated series can be seen in the following trailer.

 

 

Pokémon Generations retells the big moments from the Pokémon video game series, covering each generation’s unique storyline and featuring their memorable locations, characters, and Pokémon. Some concept art from the animated series can be viewed in the gallery below, showcasing designs for Professor Sycamore from Pokémon X and Y, plus N and the Team Plasma Grunts from the Pokémon Black/White and Pokémon Black 2/White 2 games.
