NIS America is going to be bringing htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary to Steam, and the company wanted to be sure the game is working properly when it launches. This originally resulted in a release day delay from March 14 to April 25, as the company had people go through a closed beta test to pick out problems. Now, the release day has been bumped back again. The game will come to Windows PCs on May 18, 2016.

The delay is due to some common issues beta testers experienced while playing htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary. The two problems NIS America mentions were framerate drops in Umbra mode and the game not working properly when running at 60 FPS. To help make sure these inconveniences are fixed, a second beta testing will be run.

People can apply to be a beta tester for htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary until April 25, 2016. People who qualify will be notified on May 2, 2016, and all people who participated in the first beta and join in again. Beta keys will be sent out that day. The next round of beta testing will begin on April 27, 2016, and then end on May 4, 2016.

htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary is immediately available on the PlayStation Vita.
