The twelfth The King of Fighters XIV trailer adds one old favorite and a fresh face to the game’s roster. SNK Playmore has confirmed that Mai Shiranui will join the cast, and a new, masked fighter named Banderas Hattori with her.
This The King of Fighters XIV has Banderas and Mai talking over the action. Banderas is excited to see Mai, as she’s a female ninja and his dream is to be a ninja. He wants her to be his teacher, and she calls him a fake ninja. He says if he wins the match, she has to take him on as a student.
Mai, meanwhile, has been around since 1992, when she made her debut in Fatal Fury II. She’s been a part of The King of Fighters series since The King of Fighters ‘94, and has been in over 20 entries. She’s considered to be one of SNK Playmore’s most iconic female characters.
The King of Fighters XIV will come to the PlayStation 4 in 2016.
