First, the Windows PC version of Corpse Party will be on Steam, GOG, and the Humble Store in under two weeks. It will have four bonus chapters in addition to the five story chapters, one of which goes over Corpse Party: Book of Shadows’ “Tooth” story, as well as additional scenes and multiple endings. Then, this summer, the Nintendo 3DS will get its own version of Corpse Party. It will be available digitally through the Nintendo 3DS eShop for $29.99 and in a physical $49.99 Back to School Edition. The special edition of the game will include an 80-minute soundtrack CD, with three songs that are only available in the Nintendo 3DS version. It also includes miniature figures of Naomi Nakashima and Seiko Shinohara.
The Nintendo 3DS version of also has original content exclusive to this edition of the game. There are four Extra Chapters that follow more minor members of the cast. Also, it’s a remastered version with high-resolution, redrawn character sprites, rearranged music, and 3D still art.
Corpse Party is the story of a group of Japanese high school students who participate in a Sachiko Ever After ritual that will help make sure they’re friends forever. Instead, it goes horribly wrong and sends them to Heavenly Host Elementary School, a place filled with danger and ghosts. Players must get true endings in each of the five chapters and attempt to keep the characters alive.
