Nicalis founder Tyrone Rodriguez tweeted that The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth, the expansion for The Binding of Isaac, will hopefully be releasing on Wii U, PS4, and Xbox One in April. (Thanks NintendoEverything!)

The expansion offers players an upgraded weapon combination system, new rooms, 2-4 player local co-op, more items, and new bosses. It is currently going through final submissions before release.

The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth expands on The Binding of Isaac, a randomly-generated, top-down shooter in which the title character wishes to escape from his mother, who intends to sacrifice him to God. The game featured 100 items that changed Isaac’s health and weapon affect, and they could be combined in unique ways on each run. Upon death, players would have to restart.
