Nintendo announced several Super Nintendo titles that are headed to the New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console during their Direct presentation, and they also confirmed a bunch more for Japan.

North America got F-Zero, Pilotwings, and Super Mario World at launch yesterday, with Donkey Kong Country Earthbound, and Super Mario Kart arriving on March 24, followed by Donkey King Country 2, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Super Metroid on April 14, 2016.

Meanwhile, Japan got Super Mario World, F-Zero, Donkey Kong Country, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Earthbound at launch. There will also be more from Nintendo with Kirby’s Dream Course, Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, and Fire Emblem: Geneology of the Holy War.

In addition to the first party Nintendo titles mentioned above, Japan will get various rereleases from third party games from Capcom and Konami with the following:

Capcom:

Mega Man X, Mega Man X2, Mega Man X3, Mega Man 7

Street Fighter II Turbo, Super Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter Alpha 2

Final Fight, Final Fight 2, Final Fight 3 (aka Tough in Japan), Super Ghouls and Ghosts.

Konami:

Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, Contra III: The Alien Wars, Super Castlevania IV

More titles will be announced in the near future, and we’ll likely hear more about western releases, too.
