Atlus has announced that The Deadly Tower of Monsters will be coming out for PlayStation 4 and PC on January 19th with a new trailer.

This is the next game from Zeno Clash and Abyss Odyssey developer ACE Team. It’s a top-down action-adventure that’s made to resemble a low-budget 1970s science-fiction film.

It follows Dick Starspeed, who crash lands on the mysterious alien planet Gravoria, and sets out to explore it. He ends up rescuing a woman called Scarlet Nova from ape men, who tells Dick about the planet’s tyrannical empire, who he then sets out to destroy.

To do that, Dick has to climb up the titular tower, which means fighting through “squid people, nukular ants, dinosaurs-gone-wild, giant blobs, robo-monkeys, and more.” Fortunately, he has weapons including ray guns, crystal swords, and laser whips  at his disposal, as well as special powers like time-slowing vortexes and speed boots.
