Bandai Namco and Granzella announced Project City Shrouded in Shadow during this year’s Tokyo Game Show, and the latest details have been revealed in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Hachima.]

Project City Shrouded in Shadow is being developed by Granzella with Disaster Report creator Kazuma Kujo as the director and Bandai Namco’s Kensuke Tsukanaka as the producer.

When the project was first teased in September, there were a lot of similarities to the Disaster Report series, and even had a title of “City Shrouded in Shadow Granzella,” when it was revealed. However, it was reported in the magazine report that it’ll be a completely new game but will carry on the spirit of the Disaster Report series.

The game takes place in a regular city known as Ichi City, where the peaceful everyday life was destroyed by a giant shadow that appeared over the city. The objective of the protagonist, who doesn’t have any kind of special abilities, is to simply survive.

Project City Shrouded in Shadow is in development for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories was also just announced for PlayStation 4.
