The North American Pokemon distribution event for Hoopa has been announced. The legendary Psychic/Ghost Pokemon will only be available at McDonalds from November 27 to December 23. People will need to visit the restaurant with a Nintendo 3DS and copy of Pokemon X, Pokemon Y, Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, or Pokemon Omega Ruby to “catch” the character by choosing the Mystery Gift option from the menu.

Hoopa arrives in the Hoopa Confined form. However, if the Pokemon is transferred to a copy of Pokemon Alpha Sapphire or Omega Ruby, people can get a Prison Bottle that will allow it to transform into its Unbound form. The bottle is acquired by entering a Poke Mart in Pokemon Alpha Sapphire or Omega Ruby with Hoopa in your party. A brief scene will play out in which the worker gives you the item. Using the item on Hoopa from the menu makes him turn into Hoopa Unbound for three real-world days. The Prison Bottle is a reusable item.

Hyperspace Fury is Hoopa’s signature move. It is learned at level 85 by Hoopa Unbound or via the Pokémon Move Maniac in exchange for Heart Scales. It is a Dark type, physical attack with 100 power that ignores Protect and Detect and lower’s the target’s defense.
