On October 6, Umihara Kawase made her Windows PC debut when Sayonara Umihara Kawase, a port of the PlayStation Vita’s Sayonara Umihara Kawase+, was released on Steam. Now, almost exactly a month later, the original Super Famicom game will arrive on the digital distributor.
Umihara Kawase is the same Super Famicom game revitalized for a Steam release. Umihara again is a sushi chef using her fishing pole to leap, bound, and bungee jump her way through every level in the hopes of finding an exit or secret door leading to a bonus level. The Windows PC version will offer full controller support, Steam Cloud saves, Steam Leaderboards keeping track of everyone’s time rankings, and Steam Workshop access. English and Japanese language support will be available.
People will find Umihara Kawase on Steam for $9.99 starting November 2. A launch week sale has been confirmed, though the discount has not. The second game in the series, Umihara Kawase Shun, will be released before 2015 ends.
