Sega’s upcoming rhythm game, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X, will add a bit of an RPG touch with its new Quest Mode that involves various attributes and a loot system. The latest information on the game shares more on the new feature. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]

In the Live Quest Mode, there are areas that consist of five different elements with the “Neutral Area,” “Cute Area,” “Cool Area,” “Beauty Area,” and “Chaos Area.” You’ll have rhythm game tracks found in each of the areas.

The Modules and accessories all have their own elements, and by using them accordingly with the elements found in the stage, you’ll get more Voltage Rate to start out and will earn them more effectively.

The above image shows Miku equipped with the “School” Module and accessories that provide a Voltage Rate buff of 40% for the quest “Renai Saiban” track. It won’t be necessary to coordinate along with whichever element works best, so that means you can go for style points instead.

The Modules also have “skills” that will help out in the rhythm games. For example, there are the “Recover” type skills that help cover for misses, or the “Rate Up” skills that add more to your Voltage gain. There are also some Module skills that affect your Module drop rates.

Here’s a look at some tracks and Modules:
