Nintendo and Atlus have updated with with the latest on Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem (Genei Ibun Roku#FE) with a couple trailers for Mamori Minamoto and Barry Goodman, showing us a bit of their personalities.

Mamori Minamoto is a young girl who likes traditional Japanese songs and attire from the Showa period. Like her graceful looks, she’s proper and polite, and occasionally shows her child-like part of her, even though she is more mature beyond her years for the most part. She fights alongside the Mirage Draug.

She’s currently working for a children’s program called “Microwave Idol Mamorin,” where she teaches kids how to cook. She’s shown being a little bit timid, but the protagonist Itsuki Aoi encourages her that she can do it, and she says that she will be the shield of the group.

Barry Goodman is a former popular musician who visits Japan for its otaku culture. Since retiring, he’s been working as a trainer for the protagonist and friends. Barry is a huge anime fan, and has especially been into a show called “Dia Witch Iroha,” which has a target audience of younger girls.

Personality-wise, he’s a bright character, and always sounds enthusiastic about everything he does. Whether he’s dressed as a giant puppy or admiring Mamori, who he considers an angel. However, when it comes to training, it looks like he’s more on the serious side.

Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem will release in Japan on December 26, 2015 for Wii U. The game will release in 2016 in the West.
