Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer is a new property for Nintendo, a spin-off of the Animal Crossing series, allows players to customize homes and facilities for their animal neighbors. Girls Mode 3: Kirakira Code is the latest entry in the Style Savvy series and allows players to not only play dress-up, but also customize a house with unique furniture. The two lend themselves well to a cross-over, which has happened this week in Japan.
Players who load up Girls Mode 3 can download six Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer items for free. Three of the add-ons are furniture pieces for the in-game dollhouse. People receive an amiibo phone, Nook’s Home car, and copy machine.
The other three Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer are pieces of clothing. A character will get Isabelle’s spring shirt, Lottie’s long sleeved shirt, and a Nook’s Home blazer. Below is my Girl’s Mode 3 avatar sporting ensembles inspired by the new clothing items. (I couldn’t get Lottie’s ribbon just right, but it’s close enough.)
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer is coming to the Nintendo 3DS on September 25 in North America to Europe on October 2. Girls Mode 3: Kirakira Code is coming to Europe on November 20 as New Style Boutique 2: Fashion Forward. A North American release has yet to be announced.
