IronOak Games has released a new trailer for its upcoming low-poly turn-based RPG For The King. It shows the in-game combat and exploration for the first time.
The trailer arrives alongside the launch of For The King’s Kickstarter campaign. The studio is looking for $40,000 to “inject content directly into the game and improve it as a product.” The three founding members of IronOak explain that they’ve already put a year of work into For The King and aren’t looking to replenish costs with the Kickstarter money.
“As stretch goals, we would love to bring For The King to PS4 and Xbox One,” IronOak says. “However this will most likely happen sometime after the initial PC and Mac release.” In any case, for $15 you can get a copy of For The King for Windows and Mac – this will include a Steam Early Access copy.
To find out more about For The King you should check out Siliconera’s interview with IronOak. In short, it sends you on a “perilous adventure with turn-based combat and strategic exploration.” It has roguelike elements and will launch with single player and online co-op.
