Neko.Work’s seems to have put its bigger project, the anime-style RPG “Project Light,” aside for now to work on Super Night Riders.

It’s an arcade motorbike racing game in which you play as Alice, “a beautiful blond girl from Germany known as the red rider.” You have to race as far as you can hitting each checkpoint along the endless track before the timer hits zero. Each time you go through a checkpoint the time of day and weather shifts.

“The gameplay is fast and responsive similarly to the best 80’s arcade racers, while the lowpoly 3D look is inspired by the early 3D arcade games such as Virtua Racing on the SEGA Model 1 board,” says Neko.Works.

The plan is to finish Super Night Riders by the end of 2015 and bring it to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Wii U, and mobile.
