NCSoft announced the next game in its Lineage MMORPG series, called Lineage Eternal: Twilight Resistance, way back in 2011 and since then the news has been pretty quiet.

Turns out that the game is at least being beta tested now (thanks MMOSite). That’s a step up in progress from Siliconera’s report last year that closed beta testing would start in winter 2014. It didn’t, for the record, as the first focus group test didn’t happen until June this year. Going forward, the plan according to NCSoft’s 2nd quarter financial report is to have two beta tests in Korean in the second half of 2015.

The financial report also unveiled which of NCSoft’s games were turning the most profit. The first Lineage game is still on top and by a big margin. You can see the list of earnings for the 2nd quarter of 2015 below.

  • Lineage – 85 billion KRW
  • Blade & Soul – 29 billion KRW
  • Guild Wars 2 – 22 billion KRW
  • Aion – 20 billion KRW
  • Lineage II – 16 billion KRW
  • Wildstar – 2 billion KRW

Lineage Eternal: Twilight Resistance is set in the same fantasy setting as the previous two Lineage games but has more connections with the first one from 1998. It’s said to have a “drag action” system in which you activate skills by making gestures with your mouse on the screen.
