Earlier this month, Haruki Satomi, the CEO of Sega Games, said in an interview with Famitsu that the company has learned a lot about the Western market from Atlus USA and believes if they can make a high quality game it can do well in the West for fans of Japanese games. Sega is the parent company of Atlus, the makers of the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series, after acquiring Index Digital Holdings.
"Seeing our fans across the world respond to our recent interview with Famitsu, lets us know we’ve made the right first step in acknowledging who we are and where we want to be. Sega is dedicated to bringing you quality gaming experiences and becoming a brand you love and trust again," said Haruki Satomi, CEO of Sega Games in a statement sent over e-mail to SIliconera.
Atlus USA has already been directly working with Sega’s titles including helping with public relations for Tembo the Badass Elephant which came out this week and Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX.
