After leaving Konami, Bemani producer Naoki Maeda joined Capcom. He’s spearheading a new rhythm game called Crossbeats Rev. which has players tap notes on a 32 inch touch screen. Notes appear when two lines intersect and bold blue lines are for notes you have to hold down.

Crossbeats Rev. has music from Glay, Babymetal, Bleeze, and Ijime Dame Zettai. Maeda is bringing the music acts he worked with at Konami to create original music for Crossbeats Rev. too. Terra, a music group formed by Maeda and Junko Karashima, will have music in the game. We’ll see music from Maeda’s other aliases like DE-SIRE and Reven-G too.

Crossbeats Rev. will debut in arcades later this month.
