Taro Yoko is best known for his work in Square Enix’s Drakengard and Nier series, but he’s actually been working as a freelancer for a while now. This weekend, he announced that he’s opening his own company, callled Bukkoro.
There’s an official website for Bukkoro, but there’s not much detail on it, besides the above image drawn by his wife Yukiko Yoko, who is the illustrator for the Taiko: Drum Master series. It reads “I don’t really know any details…”
Details on Bukkoro are still pretty light, but under the company staff section, it lists Taro Yoko and his wife Yukiko, along with Hana Kikuchi who worked on the scenario for both Nier and Drakengard 3.
There was also an addition illustration that was done by Yukiko Yoko, that says “definitely soon…” under the work achievements section, and another one that says “It’s not done yet, so running away!”
We’re not sure whether Bukkoro will be involved in video game developments, but with the talent behind the company that we know of thus far, it wouldn’t be too surprising.
And as a little extra, the website shows some of the LINE stamps that were drawn by Yukiko Yoko, with one showing the two characters of Pre and Zen and the other called Sausage Dogs, which are available for Research at $0.99 each.
