Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation Next is an upcoming free-to-play Gundam game by Bandai Namco for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The game’s latest teaser trailer shows off a little bit of its gameplay.
While we still don’t have too many details as far as gameplay goes, you can get a look at how the action plays from bits shown in the trailer, along with an idea on some of the Mobile Suits you can expect to see right off the bat.
Previously, Bandai Namco released Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation, a free-to-play, 6-on-6 Gundam combat game for PS3 back in 2012, and it actually did quite well. It was revealed that a surprising 75% of its players actually paid to play the free-to-play game.
Judging by that success, which brought in revenues of 700 million yen (about $9 million) at the time, Bandai Namco look like they’re trying to emulate the success of the predecessor, except this title will be available on two consoles.
We still haven’t seen too much from Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation Next since its announcement, but we’ll likely see and hear more about it soon, as it’s expected to launch sometime in 2015.
