Bandai Namco producer Yosuke Futami recently spoke with Dengeki PlayStation in an interview about what we can expect in the future of the series’ video games. [Thanks, Hachima]

When asked about some of the changes we’ll see in Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment, Futami said that instead of Ad-hoc, there will be a new online mode. Additionally, previously, the character edit that only had Kirito will now be changed so that a female character can be edited.

Dengeki also asked about what we can expect from the next title in the Sword Art Online series. Futami hinted that the next title will be on PlayStation 4.

Additionally, he previously talked about if Hollow Fragment sells more than 200,000 copies, they would make a sequel, but Futami said that there are still no details on that front to share. However, he did confirm that they will make a sequel to Hollow Fragment, and asked for fans to wait just a little longer for more details.

Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment will be available as a download title this Summer for PS4, and those who already own the PlayStation Vita version will get to transfer some items with their save data and unlock DLC at a later date.
