Capcom have announced the Mega Man Legacy Collection, a compilation of titles that will include “faithful reproductions” of the first six original Mega Man games, along with a new Challenge Mode and a Museum Collection of art assets.

This collection will be released for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe this Summer, followed by a Winter release on the Nintendo 3DS. The PC and console versions of the game will be given an “added HD finish”. The game is built on a newly developed “Eclipse Engine,” created by Digital Eclipse.

Here’s how Capcom describe the new Challenge Mode that’s been added:

The robust new Challenge Mode remixes gameplay from all six games for a new type of challenge. It provides both increasingly difficult trials for experienced players and also teaches newcomers to become familiar with the style of the games and tackle some of the trickier areas.

Meanwhile, the Museum Mode will feature high-res art, concept pieces, sketches in more. Finally, the Mega Man Legacy Collection will also include leaderboards and video replays, allowing fans to watch replays of the top players on the boards. It will cost $14.99 on all four platforms.
