From managing farms to making friends and saving the world, PoPoLoCrois Farm Story’s protagonist Prince Pietro will be pretty busy in his next adventure. The latest trailer for the game shares a recap on what awaits in the upcoming Nintendo 3DS title.
The Popolocrois Kingdom enjoyed a good while of peace, until it was abruptly interrupted by the “Dark Beasts” that appeared out of nowhere. These beasts have been going around sealing away the fairies, and ruining the lands.
In order to bring the world back to normal, the protagonist Prince Pietro must go on a journey. He was visited by a diplomat from “Galariland,” named Marmella, and she tells him that the key to saving the world lies somewhere in her land, so Pietro decides to travel there. However, this was a trap, set up by Marmella.
Garaliland is home to four main lands of Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. Each land’s town and village has all kinds of characters that Pietro will encounter, as he makes new friends and comrades to help take down the Dark Beasts.
at 1:19, we get to see some of PoPoLoCrois Farm Story’s battle system. The battles are done with a simple turn-based system, where characters have their special attacks, and are all done on a battlefield grid. You can change between manual and automatic controls, too. As you go through the lands of Garaliland, you’ll come across various farms. By defeating the Dark Beasts, you’ll get to use them to your liking. The farming parts don’t have much to do with the story, but you’ll get to enjoy some Harvest Moon-style moments with livestock and crops that you can take advantage of in order to make some useful items.
Each village and town of Garaliland will have key characters, including kind girls that will help you out in the farm, and those in need of help with various quest requests for Pietro. By interacting and helping others, Pietro will get more help in his adventure and quest to bring the world back to normal.
PoPoLoCrois Farm Story will release in Japan on June 18, 2015 for Nintendo 3DS.
