Mixi’s hit mobile RPG Monster Strike is headed to the Nintendo 3DS, the company’s president, Hiroki Morita, announced during a financial results briefing this week. (Thanks, Famitsu)

While Morita did not share any further details on the Nintendo 3DS game, he also mentioned that a Monster Strike anime adaptation is in the works and will premiere this year in Japan.

Monster Strike was released for smartphones in 2013, and in 2014 went on to become a significant hit in Japan, with over 10 million downloads halfway through the year. An English-language version of the game is available as well.
