The Miraikan science museum in Odaiba, Tokyo will be holding a Pokémon-themed exhibit this Summer in collaboration with the Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper, with the goal being to introduce children to the fundamentals of science. (Thanks, Anime News Network)
The exhibit will be divided into three rooms and is meant to replicate a Pokémon Lab that lets children imagine themselves as Pokémon professors.
Room 1 will ask visitors to deduce what Poké Balls contain which Pokémon. Room 2 will detail various Pokémon species and ask visitors to classify them based on common characteristics. Finally, Room 3 will show visitors real-life scientific discoveries made by children.
In addition to being split up into three separate rooms, the exhibit will also have different content to accommodate a variety of age groups. The Pokémon Lab exhibit will kick off on July 8th, and tickets can be purchased at its official website.
