Marvel have been partnering with different companies to create games based on their franchises for smartphones. They partnered with Gameloft for Spider-Man Unlimited, with DeNA for Marvel Mighty Heroes, and with Kabam for Marvel Contest of Champions. Now, they’ve invited a fourth developer to the party.
This time, it’s South Korean developer Netmarble, who have been involved with Grandchase, Dragon Ball Online, and other online games. Marvel have contracted Netmarble to develop an action RPG titled Marvel Future Fight, which will launch worldwide at the end of the month.
Marvel Future Fight will include 36 playable characters, including the Avengers, Spider-Man, Daredevil (who’s getting some love in light of his awesome Netflix show!), the Guardians of the Galaxy, and more. Each character will have their own movies and abilities and costumes.
Marvel Future Fight will feature both PvE and PvP modes, and an RPG campaign where you gain experience for your team and enhance your characters’ stats, which makes the game sound a little like the Marvel Ultimate Alliance RPGs.
Marvel Future Fight will be released worldwide on April 30th for iOS and Android devices. Like Marvel’s other recent titles, it will be a free-to-play game.
