Renegade Kid are porting their Nintendo DS horror game, Dementium: The Ward, to the Nintendo 3DS. Studio co-founder Jools Watsham revealed plans for the port to Twitch streamer Vinesauce during a livestream of Xeodrifter, Renegade Kid’s latest game. (Thanks, Nintendo Everything)

The Nintendo 3DS version of Dementium will be released via the Nintendo eShop. The 3DS version will make adjustments to the way enemies respawn and to the game’s save system. Since these tweaks will effectively make the game easier, Watsham said the studio is looking into how to accommodate fans looking for more of a challenge.

Watsham also confirmed that Dementium on the Nintendo 3DS will run at 60 frames-per-second with 3D turned on. The game is scheduled for release sometime in Q2 2015, and it sounds as though there may be plans to bring Dementium II to the 3DS as well.

Finally, Watsham also said that there are plans for Dementium III to be developed eventually, but that this wouldn’t happen any time soon, as it would require more financial resources.
