PlayStation 4 20th Anniversary Model Brings Back Memories Of The PsOne [Update]

Today, PlayStation turns 20 and Sony Computer Entertainment Japan unveiled a special PlayStation 4 to mark this milestone, the 20th Anniversary PlayStation 4 system. This limited edition console has a color scheme reminiscent of the PsOne and it has the original PlayStation logo on it.

 

The 20th Anniversary PlayStation 4 will be limited to 12,300 units worldwide and each unit is individually numbered. Sony plans on selling the console exclusively through the Sony Store in Japan, but did not announce details on how to obtain the console in other territories.

Sony will sell the system for 49,800 yen and it includes a DualShock 4 controller plus the PlayStation camera.

 

Update: The PlayStation 4 20th Anniversary Edition model will be available in North America through an online pre-order beginning on December 6. More details will be announced during the PlayStation Experience keynote on Saturday, December 6 at 10:00 AM PST.
