Sega’s free-to-play game, Initial D: Perfect Shift Online, has been downloaded over 500,000 times on the Nintendo 3DS, the publisher has announced.

A month ago, that number was 400,000. It should be interesting to see how much longer Sega can keep people engaged and keep the game growing.

In celebration of the half-a-million milestone, Sega are discounting some of the in-game purchases until November 5th.
