A Nintendo 3DS owner in Japan has posted a comparison of startup times for Monster Hunter 4G (Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate in the West) on a Nintendo 3DS XL and New Nintendo 3DS XL. You can see how the two systems handle the game’s startup above.

 

That’s quite the difference, and one that’s understandable once you take into account that Monster Hunter 4G, like Super Smash Bros., needs to disable certain OS features such as Miiverse screenshots in order to run on a regular 3DS. On a New 3DS, however, screenshots are enabled, and users have been taking advantage of them.
