Similar to the previous Etrian Odyssey Untold game for Nintendo 3DS, Etrian Odyssey Untold II: The Knight of Fafnir will have useful features for beginners of the series and more. Famitsu recently shared a few extra tidbits on the upcoming game.
Those of you who’ve played Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl might recognize something familiar in the above image. It’s the Highlander class that appeared in the previous game, and will be a selectable class in Classic Mode.
Classic Mode will be the same as in the previous game, The Millennium Girl, where it will be closer to the older games with custom characters and map, while the new story mode will feature preset characters and an expansive story with cutscenes and voice-acting.
The Picnic mode, which features easier battles and the option to continue your adventure should your party get wiped out, will also be back.
In addition to having 8 save slots in the SD card and one in the cartridge, Etrian Odyssey Untold II will also have the Old and New BGM options as well.
Finally, the above is a look at a special scene that takes place while staying at the inn. It’s asking “who do you think showed up?” followed by a choice between all four of main party members. Your choice affects the event that follows.
Etrian Odyssey Untold II: The Knight of Fafnir is slated for release in Japan on November 27, 2014 for Nintendo 3DS.
