Bandai Namco’s is taking a page out of Disney Infinity, which they released in Japan, and developing their own toy connected video game title. Kamen Rider: Summonride uses a Ride Portal that uses near-field communication to bring Kamen Rider figures into the game.
The Kamen Rider: Summonride package includes three playable characters – Kamen Rider Drive, Kamen Rider Gaim, and Kamen Rider Wizard.
Players can strengthen characters with Enhancement Rider Chips, basically plastic power-ups in Kamen Rider: Summonride. The base pack includes chips for Kamen Rider Gaim Kachidoki Arms, Kamen Rider Wizard Dragon, and Kamen Rider Drive Kanren.
Also, you can get a companion Kamen Rider which can be summoned with a rider chip. Kamen Rider: Summonride includes Kamen Rider Zangetsu Shin.
Kamen Rider: Summonride comes out on December 4 for Wii U and PlayStation 3. The bundle pictured above will cost 8,550 yen plus tax.
