Last week saw the release of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash II (or “Sen no Kiseki II,” if you prefer) in Japan. The game sold 86,283 copies on PlayStation Vita and another 65,498 copies on PlayStation 3. In their weekly supplementary report, Media Create provided sell-through figures for both versions.

The Vita version of the game sold through 71.96% of its shipment while the PlayStation 3 version sold through 77.3% of its shipment.

Sales of Trails in the Flash II are comparable to those of its predecessor. The previous Trails in the Flash game sold 81,622 copies on Vita and 67,718 copies on PlayStation 3 in its first week. Judging by the similarity in sales figures, it’s safe to say that the second game managed to recapture the audience of the first.

Sales of the first Trails in the Flash amounted to 220,000 copies over the long run. Media Create say that they expect the second game to perform similarly and do not expect there to be any growth in the audience, due to the “II” (signifying a sequel) in the name.
