Yakuza Zero takes place in an era of Japan when money ruled everything. Well, to a much higher extent. The game’s story trailer for Tokyo Game Show 2014 shows us exactly what they mean when they say money is everything.
The trailer starts out with Kiryu giving someone a good beating, and tells him that he had better choose his opponents wisely when picking fights in this town, especially while carrying around the big bucks.
Next, we see Goro Majima and other key characters that will play a big role in the game’s story. A girl is being sought after by an organization, and while Majima says “that girl is my prey,” it looks like he’s doing his best to save her from a bad situation.
The video also gives us a brief look at what happened to Majima’s eye and how he lost it. Finally, Kiryu is shown at the end saying, “don’t you go on saying something so pitiful. You’ll never reach the top like that!”
Yakuza Zero will release in Japan in spring 2015 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
