Dark Pit, Ness, Falco, Ganondorf Confirmed For Super Smash Bros.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS hasn’t officially been released in Japan yet, but some players have managed to get their hands on early copies and livestreamed gameplay, showing off a bunch of characters in action. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]

In addition to Ness, Dark Pit, and Falco, we got to see another newcomer with the Duck Hunt Dog along with several other returning characters in Wario, Ganondorf, and Dr. Mario.

They also shared a look at the latest stage with a retro-style F-Zero stage as well.

 

The official Smash Bros. Twitter also shared a look at Pikmin & Alph from Pikmin 3:

 

Pikmin and Alph is pretty much the same as Olimar with similar characteristics, but he won’t be able to use the Rock Pikmin, so we can expect him to have slightly different tricks up his sleeve.

 

The second tweet mentions that while the two characters from Pikmin and Pikmin 3 are very similar, they’re their own proper characters and will both have their own slots and names called out during the character select screen.

 

With the release of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS less than a couple days away in Japan, we’ll soon likely hear more about what else is new in the game.

 

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS will release in North America and Europe on October 3, 2014.
