Edmund McMillen and publisher Nicalis Inc. has announced that The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and its poop-filled dungeons will be coming to PC, PS4, and PlayStation Vita on November 4th with a new trailer.

Rebirth is a remake of the randomly-generated action-RPG shooter, meaning it has a new game engine (it should run at 60 frames per second on most PCs), new hand-drawn art, a new soundtrack and audio by Matthias Bossi, and hundreds of redesigns throughout.

Fans of The Binding of Isaac will be glad to hear that Rebirth has integrated controller support, two-player co-op, 20 challenge runs, 160 new unlockables, multiple save slots, new normal and rare bosses taking the total number to over 50, and a whole bunch of achievements to chase.

If you have no idea what The Binding of Isaac is, then all you need to know is that it’s a top-down action-RPG in which you play as Isaac after he’s jumped into the basement of his home to escape the extreme measures of his religious mother.

You use tears to fight the enemies down there in that filthy pit, but will find upgrades that turn Isaac into a force to be reckoned with, eventually taking on his mom. It’s tough, highly replayable, and is by one of the guys that created Super Meat Boy.

If you already do own The Binding of Isaac on PC then you’re able to get a 33% off discount if you pre-order it, which you can do right now on Steam, where it’s being sold for $14.99.
