Protect Me Knight was a retro-style tower defense game by Ancient that released on Xbox 360’s Indie Games service, and it looks like its sequel is headed to the Nintendo 3DS with Protect Me Knight 2. The official website shows us what the game is all about.

If the music of the game sounds a little familiar, it was composed by Yuzo Koshiro, best known for his work on Sonic the Hedgehog and the Etrian Odyssey series.  Koshiro happens to be the co-founder of Ancient, the developers behind the game.

Protect Me Knight 2 is a simple tower defense game that uses 8-bit graphics to go with plenty of action. The premise of the game is simply to protect the princess, as you take on the role of six different heroes.
