Bandai Namco plans on testing Dragon Ball Xenoverse’s online play way before the game launches. Starting August 21, and until September 17 players can register to join the PlayStation 3 network test by logging on to the Japanese store and downloading a Network Test Application Ticket for Dragon Ball Xenoverse. The first wave of testers will get access to Dragon Ball Xenoverse on September 19 and another group will join the test on October 3. Participants will be randomly selected and notified by email.

Bandai Namco emphasizes this is not a demo for Dragon Ball Xenoverse, it’s just a network test and the final game may be different. Also, any data from the network test will not transfer over into the retail game.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse is in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
