Level 5’s Fantasy Life is coming to North America and Europe this October on the Nintendo 3DS, and during a live-stream earlier today, Nintendo’s Treehouse product development team showed off the game in depth.

During the stream, Treehouse representatives said that, if you count all the dialogue and text in the game together, Fantasy Life has the amount of prose of a 21,000-page novel.

Fantasy Life lets you choose from 12 job classes—Paladin, Mercenary, Hunter, Wizard, Cook, Angler, Woodcutter, Miner, Blacksmith, Carpenter, Tailor and Alchemist.  Each class comes with its own story elements and skills, and you can change class at any time in the game.

Fantasy Life also supports co-operative multiplayer.
