Sega have shared the first details and screenshots for the Nintendo 3DS version of Sonic Boom, titled Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal.

Developed by Sanzaru Games, the 3DS game will focus more on platforming and puzzles, as opposed to the Wii U version’s focus on action-adventure and exploration.

Additionally, collectibles found in the 3DS version will be able to unlock special content on the Wii U via Wi-Fi connectivity.

Sonic Boom is slated for release on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS this November. Siliconera recently spoke with Big Red Button about developing the Wii U version of the game.
