Bermuda is the next visual novel game from Unhack creator Invert Mouse. Siliconera had a sneak peek of some of its screenshots a couple of months ago, and now it’s headed to Kickstarter to raise a modest AUD$2000 in funds to get made.
Players are Edward, and discover that the Bermuda Triangle’s curse is quite real. Alongside him are a small batch of us humans who are the latest to have been kidnapped by “USO’s,” or Unidentified Submerged Objects. You’ll have to escape from the aliens while interacting with both humans and aliens. The game’s action moments will see players sneaking around the ship.
Bermuda will be fully voiced, and the names should make any anime fan sit up. They include Kyle Hebert (Gurren Lagann’s Kamina and Fire Emblem’s Frederick), Kira Buckland (Luminous Arc 2’s Karen), Cristina Vee (Magical Girl Nanoha’s titular character and Hyperdimension Neptunia’s Compa), Miguel Moran (Project Nimbus) and Xanthe Huynh (Atelier Meruru’s Meruru and Sword Art Online’s Sachi).
The art style is also pretty cool. Humans are more Western-styled drawings, while the aliens lean towards Japanese-style.
You can help Kickstart Bermuda here, and vote for it on Steam Greenlight here. Bermuda is intended to be out on PC.
