Tecmo Koei recently announced Toukiden Extreme, an updated version or “G version” of Toukiden, which will feature twice the amount of demons and story volume as the first game. Famitsu reports that the updated game will also be introducing three new weapon types.
According to Famitsu’s sneak peek of this week’s issue, the three new weapon types are Naginata (Japanese Halberd,) Kanabo (spiked or knobbed club,) and a new firearm-type weapon. While the report doesn’t reveal much more, the rifle-like weapon looks like it’ll be a nice addition to the bow as a long-ranged weapon in Toukiden Extreme.
We’ll have more details on the new weapons when this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine gets published.
Toukiden Extreme will be released in Japan sometime in 2014 for PlayStation Vita and PSP.
