It’s been a year since Injustice: Gods Among Us was released for smart devices, and in celebration, Warner Bros. are updating the game with a multiplayer mode developed by NetherRealm Studios.

Injustice on mobile is a free-to-play game with a collectible card mechanic. You’re able to partake in 3-on-3 battles, and the multiplayer mode allows you to assemble your own custom team of heroes and villains to fight against other players’ teams.

Both teams are controlled by AI and battle online, and the winning team is awarded with Multiplayer Points. A Match Replay feature will allow you to assess your strengths and weaknesses so you can better customize your team for future battles.

The multiplayer update adds the ability to upgrade your characters’ stats and performance with Gear that is awarded based on your ranking on the leaderboard. Injustice will use a Weekly Leaderboard Season, and at the end of each one, tiered rewards will be distributed to players based on their ranking.

The multiplayer update for iOS devices is available now. The Android update will be available sometime during May.
