Puzzle & Dragons Battle Tournament, a competitive arcade version of the mobile game that was made with GungHo Online Entertainment and an all-star cast of Square Enix staff members will be released later this month. The official website gives us a closer look at the characters that were designed by Tetsuya Nomura.

Yo Minazuki:

Yo may look like the perfect young man with his handsome appearance and his exceptional academic scores, but he has a side to him that is weak against unexpected events. This might not be the best characteristic for a Puzzle & Dragons battler.

Chika Makimura:

Chika has a bright and cheerful personality, and she is liked by all the boys and girls around her. She likes all-things-cute, and seems to have an interest in idols.

Murakumo Takeda:

Murakumo is a high school student with a goal to become the strongest at Puzzle & Dragons, but he previously lost against Yo, and is currently trying to get revenge.

Leona Akita:

Leona is a quiet girl who hides the fact that she’s actually an idol, but she seems to let it slip due to her professional tendencies of posing whenever there are any cameras pointing at her.

Folen Lazule:

Folen is a young prince who was previously investigating some sort of unusual event that occurred somewhere in the world, but he tends to lose his memories due to an earlier accident.

Patricia Ezel:

Patricia is a royal knight with a stout personality, but she seems to have a bit of love for Folen, and her personality changes to one of a young girl in love whenever she’s around him.

Henry Boram:

Henry is a member of a mage guild that aims to find the secrets of the world. However, he tends to act selfishly.

Tinnin:

Tinnin is a mysterious young girl whose goal is to prevent a certain occurrence from happening to the world. She has a strong sense of justice and puts a lot of effort into everything she does, but she seems to have trouble communicating with others.

Puzzle & Dragons Battle Tournament will be launching on April 24, 2014 for arcades in Japan.
