Persona 4 Arena Ultimax has new characters including Yukari Takeba, Junpei Iori, and Sho Minazuki, but it looks like Atlus made room for more fighters. A listing found on Best Buy’s page for the game states that Persona 3’s Ken Amada and Persona 4’s Rise Kujikawa are also playable characters.
Here’s the tidbit from the page under “Product Features”:
Select one of six new characters — including Persona 3 favorites Yukari Takeba, Junpei Iori and Ken Amada, Persona 4 Arena NPC Rise Kujikawa and Sho Minazuki and his Persona-wielding doppelganger.
While this could also be an error from Best Buy, it would come off strange to have Ken and Rise’s name specifically mentioned. The description also specifically mentions Rise as an NPC character from Persona 4 Arena and Ken Amada, who was never a part of the first fighter.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will be released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America in Fall 2014. Best Buy says the game will be released on September 16, 2014.
