While you may know the company behind Persona and Trauma Center as Atlus, there was a period where the company’s actual name was Index. Atlus along with animation studio Madhouse were part of Index Holdings and the game developer was merged with their mobile division to become Index. The Atlus label was still used for console releases, but even Atlus USA had a different name, Index Digital Media.
When Index filed for bankruptcy, Sega acquired the company. Originally, Index was under an umbrella called Sega Dream Corporation. After the acquisition, Sega renamed the division to Atlus. And now Atlus has a brand new logo. Here’s the familiar old logo for comparison.
