As reported earlier in February, Capcom’s DLC and digital download business is growing. Digital downloads of full games have more than doubled over the last one year, while DLC sales are up 10% over expectations.

In a recent Q&A with investors and analysts, Capcom provided a little more data on both these fronts. Specifically, Capcom say that DLC accounts for about 15-16% of sales in the consumer (packaged) games business. Capcom believe this ratio will continue to increase.

Meanwhile, while downloads of full games are on the uptick, Capcom say that the difference in profitability between retail sales and download sales is negligible at the moment.
