Miiverse, Nintendo’s social network, launched for the Nintendo 3DS last week, allowing 3DS owners to share their thoughts and screenshots of a limited selection of games available on the platform. A very limited selection.
While you can find communities for more recent games like The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, and for a few older titles like Super Mario 3D Land, overall the communities on the 3DS Miiverse are very sparse—especially considering that the platform has been on the market for three years and has accumulated a wealth of games both at retail and via the Nintendo eShop by now.
That having been said, it looks as though Nintendo do plan on adding more communities to the 3DS Miiverse as time goes on, even for older games. As of this morning, Miiverse communities have been added for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Star Fox 64 3D, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Fire Emblem: Awakening and more. One would hope this is a practice that continues.
