It’s a really, really long day for Ranko. By day, she’s just a regular goth-loli school girl with the hottest eyepatch. By night, she’s a crazy-fast killer who slices with style. Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day is part of a game/movie mashup anthology of stories from Akira creator Katsuhiro Otomo’s upcoming film Short Peace, and fills in the arc between “Combustible,” set in Edo Japan, and “A Farewell to Arms,” set in the future.

The game section is being developed by killer7 director Goichi Suda and Tokyo Jungle director Yohei Kataoka. It also has us running away from a Pomeranian.

In the latest update for the game Grasshopper share that Ranko will also swap from its “high-speed action game” sequences we’ve previously seen to a shoot-em-up against a foe called… er, Killer Dragon. This fellow, apparently, is Ranko’s classmate. Oh my. Ah, well. Who cares. Kill him anyway!
